Everyone wants to save money and cut back expenses, especially nowadays with the world crisis. Times are tough and that is why people try to save a little something by using some unusual methods. There are things you can do to maintain your lifestyle, without cutting back or clipping coupons. Here is a list with a few of them.
- Train your cat to use the toilet – this is a rather weird and ridiculous at the same time. However, if you think about it, it can save you a lot of money in time. If you have a cat, you know that you spend around $110 for a litter every year. In average, a cat lives around 15 year, so that’s at least $1,650. A training kit is around $25 and the process is pretty simple. The only problem with this is that you can’t train the cat to flush.
- Get sponsors for your wedding – it sounds strange, but there are couples that get sponsored for a wedding. If you can’t afford a big wedding, but you dreamt of having one, this can be done. There are companies that offer a lot of money for marketing campaigns, and a wedding is the perfect way to make your company known (this includes flowers, food, drinks, wedding dress, tuxedo, a venue and much more). So, with a few logos on the tuxedo or other pieces of clothing, your dream wedding can come true without a penny from your side.
- Permanent makeup is also a way of saving a lot of money. In her lifetime, a woman spends around $14,000 on makeup. If you choose a natural look, you do not need eye shadow, concealer or eyeliner but if you use makeup on regular basis, then maybe you can choose the permanent makeup. With $200-$800 (depending on clinic), you can tattoo the makeup on your face. Of course, there are always risks especially if you develop an allergic reaction.
- You can save a lot of money by graduating a year sooner. That way you save money on board costs, fees for rooms and tuition. There are universities that offer special programs to students that want this and they can save up to $10,000.
